Get legal. Get translated
Services
Both accuracy and quality of a translation are of great importance, as a mistranslation of a document can lead to a number of problems for the Client/Beneficiary. So, we come to you with a brief overview of our service package in this area:
- Translations are divided into two categories: certified and legalised.
Certified translations:
This type of translation is performed only by translators approved by the Romanian Ministry of Justice. Certified translations include at the end of the document a brief conclusion authorising the translator, followed by his/ her signature and stamp.
Legalized translations:
This type of translation is performed only by translators approved by the Romanian Ministry of Justice and then authenticated by a notary public. Legalised translations include at the end of the document a standard conclusion consisting of the translator's authorisation conclusion, followed by the translator's signature and stamp, to which is added the notary's legalisation conclusion, which includes the signature, stamp and dry stamp of the notary public.
* In Romania, as well as outside the country, most public institutions require for the translations to be authenticated by a Romanian Notary Public
* For the legalization of documents under private signature, another notary procedure is applied: application of a certified date from the notary public, then the rest of the procedures in order to be authenticated by a notary public.
* According to the laws of public notaries, for the notarial legalization of a document, the document in original format (with the signature/ stamp in the original from the issuing unit) is required.

* * Apostille applies only in the country issuing the source document, so only documents issued in Romania can be apostilled/ superlegalization.
* * Superlegalization fulfils the same requirements as apostille, but is only carried out for states that are not signatories to the Hague Convention.
- Apostille on original documents (only in the city of Constanta) - refers to a page/stamp that is affixed to the original document or is attached to the original document and is recognised by all signatory countries of the Hague Convention. This formality is carried out at the Prefecture of Constanta.
- Apostille on translation - refers to the stamp affixed at the Chamber of Notaries on a document already translated and legalised. This is necessary for the document to be recognised in a Hague Convention country.
